Overview and MAM Hotseat
There is often more informaton on the Vula! site regarding various courses.
The mathematics and applied mathematics Hotseat provides a good work environment for first year students. Approachable Hotseat tutors are around a large part of the day. They are there to help you. You can go there for help for most first-year courses. Hotseat tutors are undergraduate and postgraduate students from varying backgrounds. All of them get much satisfaction from helping and encouraging other students.
The Hotseat is also a venue for peer-tutoring (i.e. getting help from fellow students). Go there and check it out!
The Hotseat is on level 2 of the Mathematics Building in Room 210 (north entrance, far east corner). A timetable of the times various tutors are staffing the Hotseat is available at the main MAM notice boards, and posted just inside the entrance to the Hotseat. Consult the timetable to find out when is the best time for you to use the MAM Hotseat. The best time is not just before a test!
If you have any questions, please contact the hotseat coordinator,
